What is the genome?

It is the DNA sequence contained in 23 pairs of chromosomes in the nucleus of each cell of your body. The genome of an organism is the repository of the information that allows each organism to grow and develop and is transmitted from generation to generation, from parents to children.

What part of the DNA is analyzed?

We analyzed 15 standardized polymorphic segments, as it has a high variability among different individuals.

Why is a saliva sample required?

Collecting a saliva sample is not as uncomfortable, invasive and painful a process as collecting blood or hair. The genetic code of a person is exactly the same in all his cells, regardless of the biological sample extracted from the individual. Another important point is its reliability, since the error percentages are minimal in the vast majority of genetic tests performed with this type of sample.

Can any genetic information be obtained from the part?

Of course not. Your artwork will originate from specific genetic markers and will never be used as a diagnostic tool.
